Global Climate Assembly

From the Margins to the Center. A global, people-led process to reclaim climate governance through local and regional assemblies, leading toward COP30.

Climate negotiations continue to exclude those most impacted by the crisis. Participation frameworks are often symbolic. Core issues — like reparations, finance justice, and protection of defenders — are sidelined. The Global Climate Assembly was born to change this, not just by adding voices, but by reshaping what is on the table.

The Assembly builds from communities upward, creating regional mandates that inform a global recommendations for climate justice.

We’re not asking for a seat. We’re bringing the table

It all begins with the voices we’ve long kept at the margins. People have been demanding climate justice for decades. Now its the time to center defenders, Indigenous Peoples, and Afro-descendant communities

By building assemblies rooted in communities,
we can rewrite the rules of who decides, what is negotiated, and how power is shared.
