ACE Observatory

A compass for climate governance created by and for everyone.

A NEW SHARED INFRASTRUCTURE

A climate-smart future is rooted in community, not closed doors meetings. This project is committed to doing things differently. We will co-design performance evaluation criteria and guidelines to monitor and report on people-centered climate action and ACE. Beginning with a series of global roundtable discussions with government officials, academics, climate educators and practitioners from around the world, we collectively defined what effective ACE implementation means.

The ACE Observatory offers a new shared infrastructure for policymakers, civil society, and practitioners alike. Being open and participatory is an important part of the work. This co-designed platform reflects and serve the wide ACE community's vision, needs, and expectations. The ACE Observatory to dramatically increase people-centered climate action assessment, power collective intelligence, inspire strategic leaps, and support investment from funders.

Tracking just transition readiness

ACEObservatory offers a unique platform for performance analysis, knowledge-sharing, and advice on people-centered climate action and Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) implementation. We aim to bridge the gap between practitioner and civil society expectations and government actions on ACE.

“We are stronger together. When people and communities most impacted are part of decision-making, and can lead on how to move forward and heal our communities, our states, our countries and our planet —everyone does better. We can innovate faster and broader in ways that effectively benefit everybody if we create spaces and conditions for all sectors of society to collaborate and engage in designing climate responses.”
